Shoe Away Hunger Program
This project had us collecting gently used shoes, sandals, boots and other footwear for an organization called Good in the 'Hood. They provide affordable quality footwear for those who are economically disadvantaged, including shoes for schools, shelters and local food shelves. They suggest a small donation for the shoes and that provides revenue to buy groceries to support their many pop-up mobile food shelves throughout the Twin Cities. We were able to collect over 100 pairs of footwear to donate.
