15th Annual Food Drive for SACA Food Shelf - October 2022
On October 22nd, FWT hosted our 15th annual food drive at the Fridley Historical Museum this year. All totaled, we were able to collect over 600 pounds of food, household items, personal hygiene items and other much needed essentials plus a monetary gift was donated too.
Kids Book Give Away - August 2022
We collected 500+ gently used childrens books donated from families in the community and then organized a book give away at Commons Park in Fridley.

Happy Spring to Seniors - February 2022
We collected unwanted new and used greeting cards and by folding them, we made cute, colorful small boxes from them. We then filled them with candy treats and gave to seniors
2ND ANNUAL SPRING CRAFT, ARTIST & VENDOR FAIR - April 2022
Fridley Women of Today hosted our 2nd Annual Spring Craft, Vendor and Artist Fair April 8, 2022. We were at full capacity at the Fridley American Legion with local vendors, crafters and artists. A great turnout and so much fun.
VALENTINES FOR SENIORS -February 2022
A few members of Fridley Women of Today put together cards and sweet treats for senior residents living in 4 local care centers in New Brighton and 1 facility in Brooklyn Park. In total, we gave Valentines Day cards to 318 seniors with some extras to spare and lots of Valentines treats for the seniors and staff.
3RD ANNUAL HOLIDAY CRAFT & VENDOR FAIR - November 2021
Fridley Women of Today is hosting our 3rd Annual Craft, Vendor and Artist Fair in November 2021. We are now accepting applications for crafters, makers and artists to participate. There are a few spots remaining so if you are interested in participating, please print the registration and ST19 forms, fill out completely, and mail with your check to Amy at the address on the form. The Holiday Fair will be held at the American Legion in Fridley on Saturday November 13th from 11am until 4pm and will feature all local crafters, makers, vendors and artists.
2021 Back to School Supply Drive
The Fridley Women of Today are collecting school supplies for students at Hayes and Stevenson Schools in Fridley. This is our annual drive for Women of Today Kids Week, August 15-21. Please let Melissa or Kathy Em know if you have contributions.
Shoe Away Hunger Program - October 2021
This project had us collecting gently used shoes, sandals, boots and other footwear for an organization called Good in the 'Hood. They provide affordable quality footwear for those who are economically disadvantaged, including shoes for schools, shelters and local food shelves. They suggest a small donation for the shoes and that provides revenue to buy groceries to support their many pop-up mobile food shelves throughout the Twin Cities. We were able to collect over 100 pairs of footwear to donate.
14th Annual Food Drive - October 2021
On October 24th, FWT hosted our 14th annual food drive at the Fridley Community Center this year. All totaled, we were able to collect over 700 pounds of food, household items, personal hygiene items and other much needed essentials plus a monetary gift was received too. It was all delivered to SACA that afternoon.
Police Appreciation Bags - October 2021
In October a few of our members donated items for appreciation bags to give to the Fridley police dept. When putting the bags together we included items like bottled water, snacks, gum, chapstick & candy along with a sincere thank you tag shaped like a badge on each bag. They loved receiving them!

13th Annual Food Drive for SACA on Make A Difference Day - October 2020
Fridley Women of Today will be making a difference in their community on Make A Difference Day by collecting donated food and household items from Fridley residents on October 26th. All items will be given to SACA Food Bank in Columbia Heights.
Fridley Women of Today hosted a Holiday Fair featuring all local crafters, makers, vendors and artists.
It was held at the American Legion in Fridley on Saturday, November 9th from 11am to 4pm. It was very successful and there is already talk
about doing it again next year! Stay tuned for more info! We are happy to report that a portion of this years proceeds will go to helping the Wishes & More Foundation, which is locally head-quartered in Fridley.
2nd Annual Holiday Craft, Vendor & Art Fair - November 2020
Fridley Women of Today is turning 60 years old - September 2019
That's right! Our chapter was established back in September 1959! And to commemorate the anniversary, the Fridley Women of Today
will be having a party and are inviting YOU to join them in their celebration!
The party will be at the Fridley Community Center on September 26th from 6:30pm until 8pm.
Cake and beverages will be served.
We hope you will come help us celebrate our milestone occasion.
District 7 Meeting - August 2019
Fridley Women of Today will be hosting the District 7 on August 21st at the Fridley Community Center. Our theme is the Great Get Together. Dinner is $7 and begins at 6:30pm. The meeting only is $1 and will begin at 7pm.
School Supply Drive - August 2019
Fridley Women of Today are in the process of collecting much needed school supplies that will be donated to Stevens and Hayes Elementary Schools in Fridley. Supplies will be delivered during WT Kids Week, August 11-17. If you would like to donate, please contact FWT at fridleywt@mnwt.org for more information.
Donate a Dinner at Stepping Stone - August 2019
On July 24th, 10 FWT members prepared and served dinner to approximately 50-55 residents at Stepping Stone Emergency housing in Anoka. For the donated dinner we had sloppy joes & buns, potato salad, cole slaw, strawberry spinach salad, cookies, chips and flavored water. We also collected many personal hygiene items that were donated to the residents.
Fridley 49ers Day Parade - June 2019
The Fridley Women of Today will have a float (in the truest sense of the word!!) in the Fridley 49ers Day Parade Thursday pm, June 13th.

M-Event Walk at Springbrook Nature Center
Save the time and date -- 6:30pm on Monday, May 6th -- for an M-Night Social to walk the big loop of Springbrook Nature Center (100 85th Ave NE in Fridley). The Social is open to everyone so please invite friends and family.

Veterans Luncheon
November 9th at Fridley Community Center -- Fridley Women of Today has volunteered once again to work with the Fridley American Legion Auxiliary to serve lunch to local vets and their guests.
12th Annual Food Drive for SACA on Make A Difference Day
Fridley Women of Today will be making a difference in their community on Make A Difference Day by collecting donated food and household items from Fridley residents on October 27th. All items will be given to SACA Food Bank in Columbia Heights.
FWT Fall Project -- Port Pillows for Chemo Patients
Fridley Women of Today are making small comfort pillows for those receiving treatments at MN Oncology Clinic in Fridley. These pillows attach to any seatbelt and are designed to cover the medical ports in the chest area of the patients making for more comfortable travels for them. Our goal is to have at least 100 pillows to donate.
Winter Coat, Jacket and Outerwear Drive
A lot of warm jackets and other winter gear was collected for Alexandra House residents. We also want to give thanks to the Fridley Lions for donating $5000.00 to buy additional new winter wear for the residents.
Throughout October and November we will be collecting new and gently used warm winter outerwear for the residents of Alexandra House.

Making Sandwiches for Homeless WILDLY SUCCESSFUL THANKS TO THE VOLUNTEERS
We are tentatively scheduled to make 500 sandwiches for the 363 program in October 2017. Allen Law has agreed to speak at the event and share his experiences with us.
Make A Difference Day 2017 -- 11th Annual Food Drive for SACA
Our annual food drive for SACA will take place in October. This will be our 11th year collecting food from Fridley residents. We had such a great turnout last year, that we are adding a 6th neighborhood to collect from. We will do the bag drop off on Saturday the 21st of October and the donation pick up on Make A Difference Day, the 28th. Be sure to save all your paper bags (with handles!) for this event. We'll need a lot of them this year!
Wilder Block Party
FWT members: Help is needed on August 12th 2017 from 11:00 to 2:00 or 1:30 to 4:30 for the 2nd annual Wilder Block Party. Volunteers are needed to help with kids activities, general event volunteers and more. Tammi has details & sign up sheet.
Corcoran Country Daze 2017
FWT members: We have worked this event for the past 5 years and once again, they have asked for our assistance. They will not have a food truck this year and types of activity are unknown at this point. Sign up with Tammi.
